  • LP-1 is Flight Ops at base of control tower. Enter Gate 4 (I-64N Exit 274, West Bay Ave) or (I-64S Exit 273, 4th View St). Thru gate, follow Berringer Blvd, left on Fourth to Tower. Or use Gate 23 (8300 block Granby St), right on Patrol Rd, right on Fifth, left on Berringer as above. Long term parking not avail at LP-1 - use lot at main AMC terminal (GPS = "8225 Patrol Road") no permit req'd. These two terminals are on opposite sides of main runway.

  • Long-Term Parking is available (max 60 days) in front of the terminal (see parking map) and you must obtain a long-term parking pass from the passenger information counter. Vehicles should be parked only in the designated long-term parking area and the parking pass should be prominently displayed in the vehicle.
  • Vehicles cannot be parked at the passenger terminal for extended periods. For extended-term parking, passengers need to park at extended-term parking facilities inside Gate 5. Extended-term parking has specific hours so make sure you are aware of the hours available for accessing your vehicke when returning.  Please call +1-757-445-1492 or contact the Pax Reps for details upon arrival.

  • CONUS and OCONUS (Spain and Italy via charter commercial-like aircraft). A weekly mission goes to Rota, Spain and then continues every other week to either Naples and Sigonella on Tuesdays. The return flight is every Friday and returns from the same destination as the Tuesday flight went out.   Also NAS Jacksonville every other Tuesday  (as of May 16).

  2. If flying into Norfolk Airport check with the military transportation desk by the rental cars desks as there may be a shuttle bus heading to one of the local Navy installations.
  3. The BEST way to get to the Norfolk Air Terminal is off Granby St through Gate 22 (gate is 24/7). Make immediate left on Patrol Road, and follow along perimeter fence for approx. 1.75 mi. (As of August 2019)

    1. You can catch the Hampton Roads Transit Bus Route #3 which travels between Norfolk Naval Base (including the air station) and downtown Norfolk. The Greyhound Bus Station is in the vicinity of Scope Stadium (on the downtown Norfolk enlargement).
