- MacDill does not offer inflight meals but reasonable amounts of food and drinks are normally allowed on flights. Subway and Marcos Pizza within .3 miles of terminal. The Dining facility does offer box lunches but they must be requested 20 minutes before the flight and picked up by the passenger; they do also offer special meals. (as of March 2017)
- MacDill does not provide Boarding Passes so ask they annotate your "Final Destination" on a document or paper boarding pass.

- How do I travel by ground from MacDill AFB? (As of Nov 15)
- If Enterprise (rental car) is closed (or you need a one-way rental out of state) then you can try the local Hertz office to check for a one-way rental. The Yellow/Checker Cab Company (+1-813-253-0121) has a permit to come onto base pick you up at the PAX terminal. There’s a Hertz location (+1-813-226-4205) at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel or at the Tampa Airport but expect to pay additional airport fees if you use the latter. The taxi ride from PAX to the Marriott Hertz is approx $31 and Hertz may reimburse you (ask them) in full for the cab fees to bring us to them.
