Fort Hood

In June 2018, I was contacted by Base Ops and asked to remove their phone number as they do not provide any outgoing Space-A.
Per their Airfiled Operations Manual (2014), Para 41:
a. US Army Airfields receive no funding in support of Space Available Passenger Operations, as a result, RGAAF does not have the personnel, facilities, equipment, or personnel to provide adequate Space Available passenger operations.
b. With the inability of RGAAF to support Space Available passengers potentially hazardous situations may be created if large numbers of Space Available passengers arrive and are forced to spend long periods of time on the South Ramp in 100 degreetemperatures, in the rain, or possibly in freezing temperatures with ice and snow while awaiting ground transportation.
c. As a result of the limitations above, Space Available passenger operations, both inbound and outbound, are prohibited on RGAAF
d. Personnel requesting Space Available Travel will be referred to the Kelly Annex/ Lackland AFB Space Available Terminal at (210) 925-8715.
e. Airfield Operations will work together with US Air Force Air Mission Liaison
Officers (AMLO’s) to ensure that all US Air Force elements are aware of the policy of RGAAF in regards to Space Available operations.
f. If Space Available passengers arrive RGAAF despite the prohibition, all efforts will be made to ensure that they are adequately taken care of to include the coordination of follow-on ground transportation, if required.

You may be able to catch flights to Ft Hood but don't expect any assistance from any staff after you arrive at Base Ops.  You can NOT walk from Base OPS to anywhere -- this area is well isolated from the rest of FT HOOD.
